Life is capable of driving you out of your mind. The way it all comes down these days, it's some kind of miracle if you're not insane. People have become separated from their bodies. They are no longer whole. I see them move from their offices to their cars and on to their suburban homes. They stress out constantly, they lose sleep, they eat badly. And they behave badly. Their egos run wild; they become motivated by that which will eventually give them a massive stroke. They need the Iron mind.
Through the years, I have combined meditation, action, and the Iron into a single strength. I believe that when the body is strong, the mind thinks strong thoughts. Time spent away from the Iron makes my mind degenerate. I wallow in a thick depression. My body shuts down my mind. The Iron is the best antidepressant I have ever found. There is no better way to fight weakness than with strength. Once the mind and body have been awakened to their true potential, it's impossible to turn back.
The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told that you're a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds. - Henry Rollins
Psychology
Psychology (from Greek, literally "to study the soul", from "psyche", soul, and "to study" is an academic and applied discipline involving the scientific study of mental processes and behavior. There is some tension between scientific psychology (with its program of empirical research) and applied psychology (dealing with a number of areas, but primarily counseling).
Psychologists attempt to explain the mind and brain in the context of real life, in contrast to the physiological approach used by neurologists. Psychologists study such phenomena as perception, cognition, emotion, personality, behavior, and interpersonal relationships. Psychology also refers to the application of such knowledge to various spheres of human activity, including issues related to daily life—e.g. family, education, and work—and the treatment of mental health problems.
In addition to dissecting the brain's implementation of elementary mental functions, psychology also attempts to understand the role these functions play in social behavior and in social dynamics, while incorporating the underlying physiological and neurological processes into its conceptions of mental functioning. Psychology includes many sub-fields of study and application concerned with such areas as human development, sports, health, industry, media, law, and transpersonal psychology. - Wikipedia
Photography
"The only impossibility to the art- if we are to believe some art critics who appear to have had little oppurtunity of observation- is that it can produce art; this little treatise contends that the camera is only a tool in the same that the brush is a tool, and one capable in the hands of an artist of conveying thought, feeling, expressing individuality, and also the usual attributes of art in their degree."- Henry Peach Robinson 1830-1901
Photography is the process, activity and art of creating still or moving pictures by recording radiation on a sensitive medium, such as a film, or an electronic sensor. Light patterns reflected or emitted from objects activate a sensitive chemical or electronic sensor during a timed exposure, usually through a photographic lens in a device known as a camera that also stores the resulting information chemically or electronically. Photography has many uses for business, science, art and pleasure.
The word "photography" comes from the French photographie which is based on the Greek "phos" (light) + "graphis" (stylus, paintbrush) or "graphe" "representation by means of lines" or "drawing", together meaning "drawing with light." Traditionally, the products of photography have been called negatives andphotographs, commonly shortened to photos. - Wikipedia
Motorcycling
- It is a form of transport which is quicker and more efficient than just about any other form of transport available. It is an enjoyable past time allowing me to get time to myself where I can simply concentrate on what I am doing and not have to think about work, kids and life. It’s a challenge where, the adrenalin can pump and the risks can be high, but where getting it right is achievable even if perfection is not. Most of all, it’s freedom – to go where I want and when I want.
- For me personaly motorcycling is a cruel mistress. She's give you the strongest highs and the deepest lows.
I'd feel dead if i could never ride a bike again.
- Motorcycling is what I am and what I do. More than anything else, it defines who I am as a person.
- Not always about speed for me, although I do like a spirited pace now and then. But being out in the open, taking in the smell of the area your passing through, the camaraderie of fellow bikers (something you dont get with cars), and the feeling of freedom.
The day I stop enjoying riding my bike is the day I will stop riding full stop.
- Do it properly, and it becomes an art form. - Bikers Testimonials
